Scout Nights

Brownies and Cub Scouts are invited to visit the Humane Educational Society for a fun-filled evening to learn all about shelter animals and the work we do to find them forever homes. Scouts will make a cool cat toy or dog treat, learn the basics of caring for pets, learn the importance of kindness, and meet some furry friends! Included in your shelter experience is a resource guide with activity ideas to help you reach your goals for animals. 

Exclusive Humane Educational Society patches are available for purchase at the time of registration.

Your visit on Scout Night has a direct connection to the Brownie’s Pets Badge, and the Bear Scout's Critter Care Adventure. If you have specific, animal-related goals that your troop is working toward, please let us know, as there may be additional resources we can provide.

 

Details:

  • Scout Nights are held the 1st Thursday each month September through May

  • Scouts Night is from 5:30pm to 7pm

  • $10 per scout

  • 5 Scout Minimum /15 Scout Maximum

  • 1 Adult required per 5 Scouts
