About the event

Introducing our Junior Enrichment Lab—a fun, hands-on experience designed especially for kids ages 7–15! This engaging program invites young animal lovers to spend a few meaningful hours at the shelter discovering how small acts of creativity can make a big difference in the lives of dogs and cats.


Through guided activities, participants will learn about the importance of enrichment for animals living in a shelter environment. Enrichment helps provide mental and physical stimulation while giving animals the chance to express natural behaviors—even in an unfamiliar setting. It’s a simple but powerful way to support their overall health and happiness.


Kids will get the chance to roll up their sleeves and create enrichment treats and toys for our shelter pets, using everyday household items you likely already have at home. These projects are not only fun and creative, but also show how easy it is to continue enrichment at home with…
