Humane Educational Society Furry Tales in partnership with RedRover is a social and emotional learning program designed to promote empathy and critical thinking through stories.  Facilitators have been trained using the RedRover curriculum to help students age seven to eleven explore the human-animal relationship and practice pro-social skills.

The RedRover discussion and activity guides are aligned with Tennessee Academic Content Standards for English Language Arts. Additionally, the RedRover Readers program is aligned with the Core Competencies for social and emotional learning (SEL) as identified by CASEL (the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning).
