Applications are now being accepted for the Rhea County Puppy Mill Rescue dogs!

The application is at the bottom of this page.
Before applying, please read all of the below:

Most of the dogs seized from this puppy mill have special medical needs and significant behavioral challenges due to the conditions they have been subjected to for their entire lives. HES will receive more applications than we have Rhea County dogs available for adoption. These dogs will not be adopted out on a first come, first served bases; these dogs will be matched by knowledgeable staff with potential adopters based on the needs of the dog. These dogs will be placed in the HES foster program with selected applicants until it is determined that they can be released as adopted. During the fostering portion of this process, HES staff will check in regularly to monitor the dogs' health in their temporary homes to decide if it will be a successful, permanent fit.
