About the instructor: Leah is a Yoga and Meditation teacher from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is a former ballet dancer, and lifelong student of the mind-body connection. As a wounded healer, Leah believes in the transformative power of yoga for resiliency and healing and teaches trauma-informed yoga classes that emphasize mindfulness, choice, and authentic connection. She completed her 200 hour training with Chattanooga Yoga School, and has over 100 hours of training in trauma-informed yoga. She has trained with Off the Mat into The World, Centering Youth, Prison Yoga Project and the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Program. She has created yoga and mindfulness programming for system-involved youth, incarcerated women, and for adults in recovery. Her goal is to help people build resilience through yoga while releasing the limited beliefs that disconnect them from their selves, the planet, and other beings.
